System Audio File (SAF)
one of a set of audio files that is used for device status or user prompting, instead of using LEDs or a display. These files may reside on the same SD card as user content (within a special directory) or they may possibly fit within on-board flash memory. Kiosks will store localized sets of SAFs to allow users to change the system's spoken language as easily as they can download any piece of user content.
